BYU CS student researches in Austria

Yihong Ding, a PhD candidate in Computer Science at BYU, spent last summer interning with the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI) a leading Semantic Web research lab located in the beautiful town of Innsbruck, a former capital of Austria, and one of Europe's most beautiful cities. BYU CS student receives prestigious Google Anita Borg Scholarship

BYU Computer Science student Neha Rungta has been named as a 2007 Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholar. She is one of only 20 students from across the nation to be recognized with the $10,000 award. Read More

Student Winners of First Annual Demo Day in Computer Science

Drew Brough, Jordan Brough, and Andrew Harris, three students working with Dr. Mark Clement, took home first prize at this year's Demo Day competition.  The title of their group is "Protein Pathways and Drug Docking."  Their names will be the first to be inscribed on a plaque to hang in the Talmage Building foyer.

First CS Department Demo Day on April 12 at 11 am in 1170 TMCB

Alumni are invited to attend the first annual Demo Day in Computer Science, to be held Thursday, April 12, at 11:00 in 1170 TMCB.  Students who have participated in the new CS 598R Mentored Research/Senior Capstone course will be presenting the result of the work over the semester.  Following the demos, the upcoming projects for Fall 2007 will be announced.Donuts will be provided for all in attendance.   Read More
